2010 is proving to be another busy year for PSD. The year began with the preparation of two 1000m3/hr Slurry Treatment Plants for shipping to the Victorian Desalination Project in Melbourne, Australia. Immediately afterwards, began the preparation of two 1500m3/hr STPs for Down Town Line Contract 916 in Singapore, which begins shipping in May.
The Engineering Department has seen the recruitment of 2 degree qualified Mechanical Engineers, Andy Sinclair & Rob Dingle and both have settled in well. We continue to recruit electricians and fitters, both to work in our plant yard and to train as plant operators.
Our plant holding continues to increase and with it, the quality of the design and workmanship, as we build more equipment to satisfy new orders.
It is hard to believe that it is more than a year since we won the Queen's Award for Enterprise. We continue to be immensely proud of this achievement and as is evident by our workload, our international clients are a tremendously important part of our business.
