 Matt Moran, PSD’s well known and highly capable Plant Supervisor, has often been told to “get on his bike” by his family and work colleagues and following a dare and some brinkmanship Matt together with his Father-in-Law, Bob, are taking to their saddles in a test of their physical and mental endurance!
Starting on Saturday 10th of May 2008, Matt is aiming to Cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats, a distance of 1046 miles, in 14 days, averaging 75 miles a day. Some say that the physical pain of riding all that way will be nothing compared to the mental torture of being in such close proximity to his Father-in-Law for such a long time.
Matt’s aim is to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice in Preston, a place that has provided palliative care in Preston and the surrounding towns since 1984. St Catherine’s needs to raise £2.5M each year to maintain its high standards of care and support and we need your help in raising a serious amount of money. Bob is particularly keen to support St Catherine’s as this was where Bob’s father spent his last days.
Matt is personally funding the trip himself so ALL money raised will go directly to St Catherine’s Hospice in Preston.
